Crafted for Adventure.

Handcrafted custom leather goods designed for the East Texas outdoorsman. From bass fishing to hunting, our specialty gear is built to endure.

East Texas Roots

Stump Field Leather Works was born from a deep love for the wilds of East Texas. Our founder, a lifelong outdoorsman, spent his childhood chasing bass in the bayous and hunting in the pines. Today, we carry that same passion into every piece we craft. Every custom leather good is a testament to the rugged beauty of the land and the meticulous craftsmanship of those who live it.

Field Essentials

The Design

Every custom order is a collaboration. We work with you to define the silhouette, stitching patterns, and hardware finishes that best suit your hunting or fishing lifestyle.

The Finish

Final products are hand-finished and treated to enhance the natural patina of the leather. Each piece is inspected for quality before being packed for your journey.

The Selection

We begin with only the finest vegetable-tanned hides sourced from local East Texas tanneries. Each piece is inspected for its unique grain and durability, ensuring a foundation of strength for your custom gear.

The Stitching

Our artisans use heavy-duty brass hardware and hand-stitching techniques to ensure every joint is as rugged as the East Texas outdoors. We prioritize durability over speed.

The Texas Long-Haul Belt

Built for the East Texas backcountry. Our signature hand-stitched belt is designed for the long haul, featuring heavy-duty vegetable-tanned leather and a custom waxed canvas lining for ultimate durability in the field.

Maintenance Matters

Deep Cleaning

Use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to remove surface grime. Avoid harsh chemicals that strip the natural oils from your hide.

Hydration

Apply a natural leather conditioner every few months to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking.

Environmental Shield

Protect your gear from prolonged sun exposure and moisture. A thin layer of beeswax can provide a protective barrier against the elements.
